Spectricity is entering a new phase of growth, and we are looking for a Business Development Director with a specialty in spectral sensing for machine vision and industrial inspection translating strategy into execution.
Your main responsibilities:
As a Business Development Director, you drive Spectricity’s growth in Europe and North America. You identify new opportunities, build strong customer relationships and translate market needs into strategic actions. You play a key role in positioning Spectricity as a leading player in spectral sensing solutions.
- Business Development & Strategy
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets, industries, or technologies
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
- Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention
- Understand client needs and challenges, and ensure timely customer support is delivered to customer
- Sales and Revenue Generation
- Drive the sales pipeline by identifying leads, qualifying opportunities, and closing deals
- Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts to secure new business
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to align business strategies and objectives
- Provide feedback from clients and market research to drive innovation and product enhancement
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create technical content, case studies, and thought leadership materials
- Reporting
- Continuously provide diligent reporting, meeting minutes recordings, and updates to the company’s CRM system
- Monthly and quarterly summary reports of client status, next steps, and long-term prospects
Your Mission
This is not a traditional sales role. You will operate at the intersection of business development, product strategy, and market creation—translating complex technology into real-world applications and building business from the ground up.

Experience & Knowledge
- You bring the experience, knowledge, and network from a previous sales or business development role
- Strong domain knowledge in spectral sensing, applications, and implementations
- Broad network of customers, suppliers, and partners in the spectral sensing eco-system
- Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and complex deal cycles with a proven track record of developing opportunities from leads to product delivery
- Experience with international markets (EU/US)
- Familiar with CRM systems and structured reporting
Education & Certifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Additional training in sales, marketing, or business strategy is a plus
