System Engineer Integrated Optics

Your main responsibilities will be to

  • Architect, design, simulate and model on-chip and external optics for our current and future products. This includes sensor, filters, lenses. Simulations include ray tracing, thin film, morphological and FDTD simulations
  • Define complex optical test setups, and characterize the devices together with our characterization teams, to understand and model optical behavior
  • Research, define and build proof-of-concept prototypes for the product roadmap, together with the foundry team

In this role you

  • Are part of the CTO office, focused on advanced R&D in the company.
  • Will collaborate closely with the Engineering team to work on challenging modeling and characterization of the product and with the and Processing teams to define and build future products and prototypes

Your profile, skills and talents

Ideally you are a creative, self-dependent engineer, highly-motivated to be part of a dynamic team creating new value,
continuously and actively seeking better solutions for our problems. Specifically:

  • You have a master’s degree in engineering, sciences or a similar technical discipline; a PhD degree is a plus.
  • You have good understanding of elementary electronics and optics, boards, systems and test equipment
  • Experience with optical modeling software
  • Experience with python
  • Experience with hands-on experimental work and test systems
  • You are fluent in English and have excellent communication skills.

Your main responsibilities will be to

  • Establish training materials, agenda and conduct technical training for clients and partners.
  • Conduct demonstrations for clients and partners.
  • You understand industry trends, system architecture, block diagram and client roadmaps & client’s needs.
  • Provide proactive technical support, problem solving and Q&A for clients and partners to drive for design-win and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in and facilitate failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Attend trade-shows and industry events when needed.

Your profile, skills and talents

Ideally you are a creative, self-dependent engineer, highly-motivated to be part of a dynamic team creating new value, continuously and actively seeking better solutions for our problems. Specifically:

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or similar relevant degree by proven experience
  • You have a good understanding of elementary electronics and optics, boards and systems architecture
  • You have excellent communication skills both towards clients as internal stakeholders
  • You are fluent in English and Chinese/Mandarin, and have good presentation skills
  • You are independent and able to work well autonomously
  • Willing to travel to Europe often
