Mechelen, Belgium, December 5, 2024 — Spectricity, a leading innovator in multispectral sensing technology, has named Brecht Francois as General Manager for Belgium. Brecht will be responsible for overseeing the company’s operations in Belgium and driving growth in the region.

Brecht is a dynamic leader and strategic thinker with a strong engineering background in various companies and roles. He received his Master’s and PhD degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from KU Leuven University. His rich industrial experience includes managing an R&D team at Nokia Networks in CA, US, and driving the development of 5G wireless infrastructure products as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at iCana.

With Brecht’s experience in the semiconductor ecosystem, his main focus at Spectricity will be to oversee the strategy & project management, resource allocation, and focus on delivering high-quality products in a timely manner. Besides being responsible for the regional operations, such as legal, administration, finance, and sourcing. Brecht will also play a key role in identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities to solidify Spectricity’s position.
